Jedidiah Shultz
Journeyman pipefitter. Woodworker. Metalworker. Father of three. Founder of Shultz Enterprises LLC.
Valparaiso, Indiana
I'm a journeyman pipefitter by trade — twenty-some years of hot work, cold mornings, and being the guy who makes things work when the drawings don't. I raise three kids with my wife. I run a wood and metal shop out of my garage. I'm building a YouTube channel called Building Shultz for the guys who weren't told they could do more than punch a clock.
I don't have a CS degree. I have a torch, a band saw, and a stubborn streak. I started learning AI the way I learned everything else — late, on weekends, by breaking things until they worked. That's where Solomon came from — an assistant I built so I could stop forgetting what's in my own head, and so other tradesmen could have something that talks to them like a foreman, not a chatbot.
Building Shultz is the channel. Shultz Enterprises LLC is the umbrella — the AI tools (TradeQuote AI, ImmiNav, RuralRoute), the books, the gear, the WRENCH newsletter. Same guy behind all of it. Same workshop. Same Indiana driveway.
If you're a tradesman, a maker, a dad trying to leave more than a stack of unpaid bills behind — you're in the right shop. Pull up a stool.
What I Believe
Be inspired. Read more than your buddies. Watch the man across the jobsite who's been doing it forty years. Steal everything that works.
Stay humble. You're not the smartest guy on the crew. Act like it. The day you think you are is the day you weld a bad joint.
And build. Talk's free. Plans are cheap. Drawings burn in a fire. The only thing that lasts is what you actually put your hands on. Build it.
